On Photographing the Royal Wedding: The Perfect Shot Can Make You ... - Unless you've been living under a rock you are well aware that a certain couple is getting married in London tomorrow. Many people couldn't care less, but this JPG blogger is rather tickled by the whole thing. So, first things first, above is the official royal wedding portrait of Wills and Kate released this morning by Buckingham Palace. It was taken by celebrity photographer Mario Testino. He is also on the guest list. Something slightly more newsworthy is this interesting story from NPR's Morning Edition this A.M. They interview some of the photographers who will be lining the route and even one lucky AP photographer who has a perch inside Westminster Abbey. Some of these photos, especially ones that are "the most human," are expected to become so iconic over the next decades that they will make the shutterbugs rich for life.
