Two Quincy veterans halls fade away as liquor licenses expire

The last beer has been served at two of Quincy’s oldest veterans halls. The closing of the Bryan Veterans of Foreign Wars hall on Broad Street and the Houghs Neck American Legion hall was confirmed Tuesday when Quincy’s licensing board pulled the posts’ liquor licenses because no one applied to renew them.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Braintree went on a 22-4 run to start the game, which was enough to secure a 56-41 win over North Quincy on Tuesday night in the first round of the Abigail Adams Classic at Weymouth. Amanda McKenney led the way for the Wamps with 15 points. Emily Gray led the North Quincy with 18 points.
