Police Sgt. George Khoury said it appears the child, identified as Alector Gonsalez, may have landed on his head on a concrete skirt that surrounds a kidney-shaped pool at the rear of the hotel. Results from a CT scan done at Children's Hospital were negative, but the boy will remain at the hospital for 24 hours for observation, Khoury said.
