Family and friends of the late Dr. Wilhelmina Van Dyke Lord gathered Saturday at a Milton church to celebrate her life. Her oldest daughter, Diana Adam, remembered “truly an amazing woman” who never saw herself as a medical pioneer even though she became, in 1941, the first female resident at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Sweet Caroline, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair, has is a delightful cat with pretty eyes. She gets along with other cats and would make a nice addition to any family. Life has been unfair to this frisky, playful cat.
