South Shore reacts to shooting of congresswoman

Current and former U.S. congressmen along with others on the South Shore react to the shooting of Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The Arizona Democrat was shot in the head Saturday outside a Tucson supermarket. Six people and 13 others were injured in the shootings, including two of Giffords’ staffers.

Four lauded as heroes after Arizona shooting

A 20-year-old intern to U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords said he used his hands to apply pressure to a gunshot wound to her head while holding her in his lap. A 61-year-old Tucson woman grabbed the magazine from the gunman, and two men tackled him. All four are being hailed as heroes in the shooting that killed six and gravely injured the lawmaker during an event at a Tucson grocery store.
